Spring is here and it’s time to take advantage of the warmer weather. The outdoor spring season of the Regina’s Farmers Market (RFM) is just around the corner.
Since 1975, farmers in Saskatchewan have been gathering in parks, parking lots and streets to exhibit their hand made produce during the short fall harvest season. RFM has since expanded to a year-round event with over 100 vendors.
There are many benefits to supporting farmers markets. Attending the RFM helps support local farmers and their families by purchasing fresh meat, produce and other products that they may offer.
Those in attendance can expect to find vendors selling organic fresh fruits and vegetables, hot food, local art, craft beverages, clothing and more.
RFM’s spring season starts May 4 and will be taking place on City Square Plaza every Wednesday and Saturday from 9am-1pm.
