Toronto, ON and Kelowna, BC (April 15, 2023)– RE/MAX Canada has announced the recipients of the annual Quest for Excellence scholarship program, which awarded 40 graduating high-school students in Canada with a $1,000 scholarship each, to be presented during their commencement ceremonies.
The 2023 Quest for Excellence program invited eligible students to write and submit an essay based on one of three key themes: charitable community contribution, the vision for a “brighter future,” and ensuring future generations have a safe, secure, and affordable place to call “home.”
“RE/MAX Canada is proud to support the communities in which we live and work,” says Christopher Alexander, Presidentof RE/MAX Canada. “The Quest for Excellence directly helps individuals by easing the financial burden of post-secondary education, but bigger picture, programs like these also motivate others to give back to their communities, while highlighting the good that’s happening all around us. We received more than 3,100 entries this year, these astounding young adults have donated their personal time for the betterment of their communities, which has made a positive impactand has enriched the lives of others.”
New this year, RE/MAX Canada expanded the Quest for Excellence scholarship program, both in terms of funding and geographic reach. For the first time, the 2023 program was opened to graduating high-school students across Canada (excluding Quebec), with a total of $40,000 awarded.
