Thank you to everyone who attended our Stache Bash last night to help raise funds for men’s health! With the help of everyone involved, we were able to raise over
$3,800!
The night was a huge success as family and friends enjoyed their steaks, visited, played arcade games, purchased 50/50 tickets, and participated in our fun night in support of men’s health.
Why is Movember important?
-1 in 7 Canadian men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.
-Testicular cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in young Canadian men.
-Each year, more than 2,900 men die by suicide in Canada.
-In Canada, 3 out of 4 deaths by suicide are men.
-Suicide is the second leading cause of death among Canadian males aged 15–44 years.
Our Motivation
To support the men in our lives who are directly affected by mental health issues, prostate or testicular cancer.
May we continue to tackle the issue of keeping men and boys mentally healthy through strengthening their social networks through tough times, challenging the idea that a “strong and controlled” man is the only way to be manly, and to encourage men to feel comfortable talking about significant life events such as becoming a father, breakdown of a relationship or loss of a job.
