Justus Smith
Justus believes that successful real estate transactions result from good communication, professionalism, education, negotiation, and through a philosophy of striving for continual improvement (a business concept referred to as “Kaizen” – the Japanese word for ‘improvement’ or ‘change for the better’).
The philosophy of continuous improvement is evidenced by the fact that Justus strives to collect real estate credentials. He has become a Certified Investor Agent Specialist, a Certified New Home Specialist, has Residential Construction Certification and is working on other educational pursuits which go above and beyond any compulsory education requirements for the industry. Justus also has a Honors Degree of Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, to which he credits much of his research and negotiating success. Continuing improvement is very important to Justus – he believes there is always more to learn, and is ever eager to further develop sales and marketing skills.
Outside of real estate, Justus enjoys spending free time with his family. He and his wife, Jennifer, have two children – their son, Sascha and daughter, Sophia. Sascha was born with a rare genetic condition known as Smith Magenis Syndrome (SMS); and as a result, the rest of the family is actively involved in his care. Justus finds the unique physical and behavioural challenges of SMS individuals fascinating and enjoys learning, as well as educating others about the syndrome (if you’re curious, see www.prisms.org).
